Our Fundraising Commitments to You

We deeply value your support and are grateful for your interest in Amref’s work. We are committed to providing you with the highest standard of care and to fundraise legally, ethically and respectfully.

We are registered with the Fundraising Regulator, and are committed to their Code of Practice and we hold ourselves to our Fundraising Promise to you.

Code of Fundraising Practice

• We will commit to high standards. We comply with applicable laws and best practices. And we ensure those that work with us to fundraise comply as well.
• We will be clear, honest and open. We tell the truth and do not exaggerate. We are transparent about our fundraising costs and how we spend donations.
• We will be respectful. We respect how and when you want to hear from us. As the law requires, we seek your consent. If you change your preferences, we will act upon your wishes immediately.
• We will be fair and reasonable. We will act sensitively and won’t pressure you to donate or cause a nuisance. We will not use any language or imagery likely to cause distress.
• We will be accountable and responsible. We make it easy to provide feedback and follow our complaints procedure. We will monitor complaints and make changes as needed.

• Be honest, accurate and transparent in how we work.
• Keep you informed about how you are improving health within communities in sub-Saharan Africa.
• Never sell, share or swap your personal details with other charities or to third parties for their own purposes. You can read our Privacy Policy here.
• Respect your wishes and contact you as much, or as little, as you want in the ways you want.
• Respond to all enquiries as quickly as possible.
• Always listen and learn. If we make a mistake, we will be honest and apologise, and learn from the experience, so that we can do better.
