Find out more about leaving Amref a gift in your Will
Having a Will is an essential step to ensure your assets are distributed according to your wishes after you pass away. And after taking care of your loved ones, including a gift in your Will to Amref is a significant way to make a lasting impact.
Your Legacy is more important today than ever before.
Today, 615 million people in Africa still cannot access the healthcare that they need. This is unacceptable.
We believe health is a basic human right, and our goal is simple: Universal Health Coverage by 2030. We will keep working until everyone in Africa has access to affordable, good-quality healthcare, but we cannot do this without your help.
None of us should grow up without access to healthcare, and by leaving a gift in your Will to Amref, the next generation won’t have to.
Your legacy is more important today than ever before.

FAQs
A legacy gift, also known as a gift in Will, is simply a gift to an individual or charity (or both) that you leave in your Will. There are two main ways to leave a gift:
- Residuary gifts: This is a share of your estate. It ensures a fair distribution among all the people and organisations you want to benefit.
- Pecuniary gifts: This is a fixed sum of money. If you would like to protect the value of your gift from diminishing over the years, you could think about indexing the sum that you give.
You can have a combination of residuary and pecuniary gifts.
We work to create lasting health change in Africa. By addressing the root-causes which create barriers to accessing health care, we are shaping a future where everyone can exercise their human right to health. This vital work requires long-term and sustainable funding from generous gifts from people like you, including gifts given through legacies.
By leaving a gift to Amref in your Will, your support of communities across Africa can continue for years to come.
Yes, there could be both benefits to you as well as to Amref.
