Amref is Africa’s leading health charity, working primarily with women and girls to create lasting health change across sub-Saharan Africa.  

Our ambition to ensure that everyone across Africa has access to affordable healthcare is big, and we can’t do it alone. Our corporate partners provide valuable expertise, insight and resources to support our work. Partnerships help us in many ways, from funding programmes to reduce mortality in childbirth, creating resources so we can advocate for change at government level, to raising awareness of some of the challenges facing the communities we work with.

Strategic, multi-year partnerships 

We’ve worked with GSK for 30 years, strengthening health systems in Africa and reaching over 4 million people.  
 

Charity of the Year 

Law firm Allen & Overy voted Amref as their Charity of the Year from 2014 to 2016, and we were proud to deliver their most successful charity partnership ever, raising £1.9 million including employee fundraising, corporate donations and pro bono support. 
 

Corporate donations 

 
In addition, we’ve worked with companies to engage their employees, through events, fundraising and other activities, and on brand partnerships that engage customers. 
 
Our corporate network, Amref Connect, is aimed at businesses working in or with Africa, who want to build their networks and connections across the continent while investing back into its health systems.
